A native from Arlington, VA who is now a sophomore at Kenyon College.
My very first introduction to field hockey was at a Beyond Sticks camp back in 2013. My nerves were quickly calmed by excited and knowledgeable coaches who taught me a strong field hockey foundation. Months later, feeling much more confident, I joined the Southeast Storm field hockey club team and my passion for field hockey hasn’t stopped since. I started coaching for Beyond Sticks in 2016 while still in high school, and I continue to be impressed by how much sports can impact young women. As a graduate of National Cathedral School, an all female school, empowering girls of all ages is extremely important to me. Watching girls blossom from nervous and shy (just like me in 2013!) to athletes confident in themselves and their skills is what makes coaching for Beyond Sticks most gratifying to me. I graduated high school in 2017 and joined the Kenyon College class of 2021 and the Kenyon College varsity field hockey team.
I’ve been amazed at just how many principles I learned as a player— and now communicate to new athletes as a coach— apply to my experience as a college athlete. I still focus on how I can Play Beyond the Game!
