Loudon County League
Loudoun County League (LCL) is a recreational league for players in Loudoun County to represent their schools during the spring season. Players affiliate with their local high school and wear their school colors.
LCL is a volunteer, parent run group that not only manages and runs a fall and spring season of hockey, but works with other hockey advocates to help bring funding and access to field hockey within the county. Our goal is to keep recreational field hockey available for players in grades 6th through 12th. To ensure our players have a successful season, we encourage you (and your friends!) to join us in this exciting adventure.
Currently, field hockey is only offered as a Varsity sport in Loudoun County. LCL provides a space for future Varsity athletes to play the game! At LCL you can represent your school team (or your future school team if you're not in high school) to play every Saturday and practice one night a week (Tuesday or Thursday). We welcome all skill levels aged 6th grade through 12th. Beginners are welcome and many athletes learn field hockey for the first time with us! Games are based on grade level and skill level where players compete in JV1, JV2 or Middle School games. You play with your high school team. High Schools combine to play together based on registrations. If your team does not have a volunteer coach by August, we will contact registered athletes to help find help. Please consider volunteering (see below).
