Sachi cooper - Field hockey & lacrosse Coach

Sachi played field hockey for three years at Washington-Lee High School where she was the varsity captain. Now she plays club at UCLA while she is getting her degree in geography. She loves coaching because she can inspire young girls to be empowered by athletics just like she was. “I want them to dream big dreams and achieve everything that they were meant to do!” Sachi believes that Playing Beyond the Game means that athletics is more than just winning and losing. It means that with every mistake comes a change to develop and be better, physically or mentally. One lesson that sports has taught her and still helps her today is to be loud. “I was very timid and unsure of myself before I was told that I had to communicate with my team! Be loud, and don't be sorry about it.”
