Taleah Scott, returning to Beyond Sticks after a well-deserved break, brings a wealth of experience and passion to her role as Marketing Director.

Playing her first game at the age of 5, Taleah's journey began in Australia where she went on to represent her high school team, clinching two state championships and competing in six national championships. In 2011, she was recruited for the Division I program at Robert Morris University in Pennsylvania. Her impact was immediate, starting every game in her freshman, sophomore, and junior years until an unfortunate halt when Robert Morris discontinued its field hockey program.

Learning the importance of Playing Beyond the Game, Taleah joined VCU as a super senior in 2015 while pursuing studies at the Center for Sport Leadership. Her commitment to the sport and her multifaceted skills became evident when she joined Beyond Sticks in 2016. Serving as a coach, event coordinator, communications director, logistics expert, and an all-around connoisseur during owner Chrissy's New York tenure, Taleah played a pivotal role in the organization's growth.

Among her achievements, Taleah developed Beyond Sticks' first play day for year-round play, leaving an indelible mark on the program. She seamlessly transitioned into coaching roles at The Potomac School and Southeast Storm Field Hockey Club from 2016 to 2019, coaching athletes of all levels and ages.

In 2019, after welcoming her first child and relocating to the Philly area in 2020, Taleah took a hiatus from coaching to embrace the joys of full-time motherhood. Now, Taleah looks forward to returning to the field alongside new owner and friend, Heidi Lewis. As she and her family prepare to move back to the DC area in April, Taleah is excited to inspire a new generation of athletes to "Play Beyond the Game" under the Beyond Sticks banner.
