Jenny Helmer
We're excited to introduce Coach Jenny Helmer to our Beyond Sticks summer camps! Jenny brings a wealth of experience working with kids, having served as a head coach at a beginner summer camp and as a volunteer teacher's assistant at Dolley Madison Preschool.
Currently studying Speech Language Pathology and Psychology at Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, IN, Jenny combines her academic pursuits with her passion for field hockey. As an alumna of Beyond Sticks, she attended our camps in middle school, where she gained tools and experiences that have stuck with her to this day. Jenny played field hockey from fifth grade through her senior year of high school, earning the honor of first team all-state for VISAA Division II field hockey in her senior year.
Jenny's favorite Play Beyond the Game lesson is understanding the importance of knowing your teammates personally and recognizing that diversity is strength. Each unique personality contributes to the team's cohesion and balance—it's more than a team, it's a family! She believes that a team's success is built on connections off the field as well as on it.
One of Jenny's favorite memories from attending Beyond Sticks camp was receiving the award for most spirited in her group. She loves the lively and fun atmosphere of the camp, and she brings that same excitement and energy to her coaching. We're thrilled to have Jenny at our Field Hockey and Games Camp, ready to inspire and empower the next generation of field hockey enthusiasts!
