Empowering Middle Schoolers to Overcome Peer Pressure and Build Confidence
Middle school is a time of change, where young athletes begin to navigate complex social dynamics. Peer pressure, friendship struggles, and the challenge of fitting in can often leave middle schoolers feeling unsure of themselves. At Beyond Sticks, we understand these struggles and aim to create a safe and supportive environment where athletes can build confidence and embrace who they truly are.
Our summer camps are designed to empower middle schoolers by providing a space where they can learn and grow without fear of judgment. Through team-building activities, we encourage collaboration, trust, and open communication among athletes. These exercises help them develop the confidence to be themselves while also strengthening their teamwork skills.
Beyond just physical skills, we integrate leadership discussions and emotional intelligence lessons into our camp. We guide athletes in processing their feelings, understanding the emotions of others, and learning how to support each other both on and off the field. These lessons build confidence and teach important life skills like self-awareness, empathy, and resilience.
Our "Play Beyond the Game" approach ensures that the growth athletes experience at camp extends beyond just field hockey. We want young athletes to leave camp not only as better players but also as more confident, emotionally intelligent individuals ready to navigate the challenges of middle school with greater ease.
At Beyond Sticks, we prioritize creating a positive, supportive environment where middle school athletes can flourish and feel empowered—on the field and beyond.
